1979 Volkswagen Cabriolet w/ Bosch fuel injection. The last year the original Beetle was imported from Germany into the US. Because of the fuel injection it starts easily and idles. I have installed a small diameter hardwood sport steering wheel. I've owned and driven it since 1988. Everything works -- all lights, horn, the Blaupunkt radio, speedo, odometer and fuel gauge, window cranks and door handles and locks (including the engine compartment lock). The heater is 'dicht' and works well when the engine is warm. The 2-speed windshield wipers work but have slowed a bit.
